About Staffbase
We inspire people to achieve great things together. Our mission is to help organizations unlock the power of inspirational communication. Our industry-leading and award-winning communications channels – intranet, employee app and email solutions – create engaging experiences that connect and empower employees.
Headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany, with offices in Berlin, New York, London, and Minneapolis–St. Paul, our diverse team of 750+ employees supports 2,000+ customers—reaching over 16.4 million employees—in transforming their employee experience.
We are proud to be a Unicorn company—privately valued at over $1 billion—demonstrating strong growth, innovation, and lasting impact in our industry. Together, we’re shaping the future of workplace communication.
At Staffbase, we are experiencing incredible growth. Year after year, we multiply not only in terms of headcount and customers but also in terms of traffic and resource usage. Our growing customer base actively uses their respective employee experience apps on a daily basis. We build hundreds of these custom-branded apps, store vast amounts of data, and handle numerous HTTP requests.
To achieve this, we rely on Kubernetes and other tools from the CNCF Landscape, such as Istio, VictoriaMetrics, FluxCD and Terraform. Together with our development teams we operate a service-oriented architecture that communicates over REST, gRPC, and Kafka. Furthermore, we store data in multiple databases, including MongoDB, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL. In addition to that, we also work on our own tools and services, such as our observability platform, which we mostly develop with Go.
To support our growing infrastructure, we are looking for a self-driven working student interested in site reliability engineering. You will contribute to ensuring the reliability, availability, scalability, and sustainability of our platform.
